This is a great fluid jazz style composition. You can (and should) drop some of the chords and play a bit off-beat, where you think it works. Try adding leading chords, as well. Such as the D leading to E in the verses. Add some neighbor notes to fill the sound as you see fit. verse 1 Dm E Am Fmaj7 Snow in the air as it rides the winter breeze Dm E Am Fmaj7 Crystals of ice are hanging from the trees E Fmaj7 Am Fmaj7 The morning of Christmas has arrived in its due time Cm Bb A D The children are waiting, their joy becomes mine verse 2 Dm E Am Fmaj7 We march down the stairs and into the other room Dm E Am Fmaj7 (Dm) The lights shining bright on the tree for all to view E Fmaj7 Am Fmaj7 The window is shattered and the presents are all gone Dm E Am And all the cries of my children wrote this song Chorus 1 A Fmaj7 And I swear when I get my hands on him Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) He'll never breathe again, never breathe again A Fmaj7 I won't stop tearing him limb from limb Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) He'll never breathe again, never breathe again (Dm E, Am, Fmaj7) x2 Bridge E Fmaj7 Am Fmaj7 I get in my car to chase the only set of tracks Cm Bb A D A gun in my hands and a bag in the back verse 3 Dm E Am Fmaj7 Deep in the slums I saw him with their toys Dm E Am Fmaj7 (Dm) My gunshot rang out but the snow absorbed the noise E Fmaj7 Am Fmaj7 I bagged up his body and I threw it in the car Dm E Am With all the toys that he'd carried oh so far Chorus 2 A Fmaj7 Now that I got my hands on him Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) I can breathe again, I can breath again A Fmaj7 Finally I've rid the world of him Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) And I can breathe again, I can breath again verse 4 Dm E Am Fmaj7 Back at the house all my children were so sad Dm E Am Fmaj7 (Dm) When their presents returned then not but joy they'll surely have E Fmaj7 Am Fmaj7 I drove to the river and I threw the body in Dm E Am (A) And no one else will be paying for his sin Chorus 3 A Fmaj7 Something screaming inside me says that Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) I can breathe again, I can breath again A Fmaj7 Judge me all that your hearts desire Cmaj7 (Cmaj7/E) But I can breathe again, I can breath again
