S_C_A_R T_I_S_S_U_E by the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Guitarist: John Frusciante (a Guitar GOD!) Here it goes. ENJOY! :) 1st Solo ( 0:58 - 1:10 ) e|-------------------------------------| b|-13s10-10*-10/-----------------------| g|------------12-12s14-14s16-16s17-17*-| d|-------------------------------------| a|-------------------------------------| E|-------------------------------------| 2nd Solo ( 1:58 - 2:09 ) e|-------------------------| b|-15-15-13-10-10-7-13-10*-| g|-------------------------| d|-------------------------| a|-------------------------| E|-------------------------| (SAME SOLO) CONTINUED (It's Just a Different Part!) ( 2:09 - 2:20 ) e|-----------------------------------------| b|-15*-17-13s10-13--13-10--15s17-17s18-18*-| g|----------------12-----------------------| d|-----------------------------------------| a|-----------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------| 3rd and Final Solo ( 2:47 - 3:28 ) < That last few seconds are just vibrations, and then it's THE END! (thats two 15s, just do them fast enough with the song) e|-17*-17-1515*-17-12*-13s10*-| b|----------------------------| g|----------------------------| d|----------------------------| a|----------------------------| E|----------------------------| This Part is Tricky, but This is the Same Solo! (Part Starts at 2:56) Do the sliding along with the song, Timing is a factor and could ruin it! Be careful! It slows down and speeds up sometimes. e|------------------------------------| b|-13-13s15-15s13-13s15-15*-15--13s10-| g|------------------------------------| d|------------------------------------| a|------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------| Another Part to the Solo.. (Starts at 3:03) e|-------------------------------| b|-13--10------------------------| g|---12*---9s10s7--14*--14-14-14-| d|-------------------------------| a|-------------------------------| E|-------------------------------| Last Part of Solo (Starts at 3:12 and ends 3:28) < last few seconds is a little bass riff and etc. Again, Timing comes into effect with these Low Slides, so be Careful! Play with the Song to get it right! (Do the 181717 fast with the song, it's a bit faster than the ordinary notes in the Song.) e|----------------------------------------------| b|----------------------181717-13-15-10-13--10*-| g|-------------------14-------------------12----| d|-14s12-14*-10s12-7----------------------------| a|----------------------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------------| Some Notes: -If you hear this correctly the solos are basically sliding, but when John gets to the note he slid to he hits it like average, so basically slide down (or up, depending on the note position) to almost all the notes in the solo and hit them like you would regulary. Don't just hit one note, pick your finger up and go to the next, slide to the ones on the same string. -I didn't REALLY arrange this tab time wise, but somethings i told you to play faster. Play with the song and get the timing down. It'll work if you're doing it correctly. -This is my first tab, so it might not be alright. I did this because most other tabs were not right for the solos. I hope these help. I might've added the wrong note sometimes in the wrong place, but you can make adjustments. :) -I focused this tab off of Caio Pereira de Sousa's tab of the Solos, but I improvised his. Hopefully it works. -Sorry i split the solos into pieces, i just thought it'd be easier. Hopefully you can still play it. :) -I did this tab on acoustic guitar, so i don't really know how it sounds to add effects. You can though! -Oh yeah and most of all have fun! This is a great song and the solos are fun! :) KEY: * - Hit the note harder than average, just a bit though. let it right or vibrate. You could even bend it if its the end. It would sound as good. s - Slide up or Down, depending on where your current note is and where you're going to next. Ex 13s15 would mean 13 slide up to 15. 15s13 would mean 15 slide down to 13.
