Old Town Pump
(G) I remember the old town (C) pump
Where the old men sat (G) around
All of life experiences to be (D7) found
At the old town pump in my home (G) town
They would sit there and (C) whittle,
Or break off a chew or (G) two
Some were permanent fix-(D7) tures
Others were just passing (G) thru
The old town pump that everyone (C) knew
Now replaced by a water tower of (G) blue
And the sage old (D7) men,
Well they are gone (G) too
Oh if I had of (C) listened
To what they had to (G) say
I may have av-(D7) oided
What I have (G) today
I miss that chatter of old yes-(C) terday
All of lifes experiences to be (G) found
At that old town (D7) pump
