C F C It snowed along the ridge top this morning C F C When I woke everything was still C F Snow covered all the treetops leaving little snowdrops G C All up and down the windowsill C F C I turned to stare at the ceiling C F C Leaving my bed would take awhile C F The stove and the chimney, the coffee pot stood empty G C No one here to wake me with a smile F C Seems like every morning's just the same F G And you know I can't complain F G C F Now it's getting colder, there's lots I could have told her C G C Enough to maybe bring her back again C F C Looks like the sun's trying to break through C F C May as well get up and make a fire C F Woodpile stacked up high, got some dandelion wine G C I'll go out walking when the sun gets higher F C Seems like every morning's just the same F G And you know I can't complain F G C F Now it's getting colder, there's lots I could have told her C G C Enough to maybe bring her back again
